The logical end, I suppose, to the glorification of ignorance that has become such a dominant theme in our political life.

Whenever I see that kind of glorification of the "real America" and the demonization of the "elite" I am reminding of that self-destructive culture that eschews "acting white." It's interesting that a group of people who recognize the idiocy of that aspect of the black culture takes the same tack itself apparently without irony.
