Indeed, the American Constitution makes clear that freedom to worship must not be allowed to interfere with secular matters nor the dictates of any particular religion be allowed to influence government -- and the reverse. Indeed, this has now changed and, as we have seen, the election has been dominated by a particular religious group.
I am not suggesting that people should not be free to worship their God in any way they wish, or not at all, if that is their choice -- what I am suggesting is that people appear to have abandoned their concern for secular matters eg social security, medicare, education -- liberty, itself -- indeed, the Amendments to the Constitution (Bill of Rights), in favour of religious "values" such as homosexuality, abortion etc. This is the gist of the piece by Spengler.

Yes, and, as we see now -- and many times previously, man has attempted to change that relationship so that instead of him having to do God's bidding in all humility, God is now answerable to man.
