Bigotry is in the eyes of the beholder? :-)

Whether anti-Semitism is racism is debatable. It is certainly prejudice based on religion. There are good people and bad people in every religion, and there are good and bad among those who have no religion (a concept religious bigots have a very hard time comprehending).

The idea of racism is really one of those "I knows it when I sees it" things. The fact is that genetically the variation within a "race" is much larger than between "races". And no one has come up with a racial classification scheme that is unambiguous, clear, and reliable. Scientifically, the concept of "race" is meaningless. What exists is the species homo sapiens.
