Can someone please explain why these stocks act as if it's the end of the world today? What on earth is wrong with people Gold is behaving great and hit a new high overnight of 440.00 and the stocks sell off 5 to 10%

I think that today illustrated that gold does not seem to have a life of its own much to our dismay. It seems to be dependant on the $ US ....period. That would suggest a cap on the price is reasonably nearby or presently achieved. Other than we gold bugs, that is what the larger part of the world believes. We must remember "Armageddon R Us" , not the rest of the world.
If one subscribes to that theory (fat chance here :o)), then it would follow that our babies our generally priced at the high end of their ranges excluding a few that have some extra special oomph in their programs at todays gold price. Lets hope I'm wrong because if we are all wrong and the US dollar rallies then its not going to be pretty as we all hold thinly traded stocks that we have all incestuously (sp?) traded their prices up.

Today was not a confidence inspiring day. We may be reaching the point of no return as the aviators would say.

I know no one agrees with me so feel free to chip in. I won't be hurt, I have the evidence on my side. ( price of gold level in CDN dollars).

In nominee patrie etc etc.
