I actually though Lazarus had interesting things to say, and I also thought he was very intelligent. I would prefer to ban no one at all. However, as I said already, I would rather kill this thread than have it be an ugly, rude place full of insults and personal attacks, and when I politely reminded Laz of this, he continued to be rude.
Even at that point, I would have still preferred him to stay, but he had me on Ignore, so I could not get a private message to him to see if we could resolve this. If he would like a second chance to be civil and contacts me, I would give it to him.
I do not think it is particularly constructive to talk about all this endlessly; I am trying to give the thread a new start for the many of us who were sinners in the past and deserve one. His ideas and political beliefs had nothing to do with the ban; it is all behavioral in my opinion. All points of view are welcome here.
Anyone can start a thread, and if you do you can ban everyone you please, or set any agenda you would like, so everyone has the same opportunities and it is a level playing field. People who don't enjoy playing here are very welcome to start a game somewhere else. |
