That Marine is going to do time in the Portsmouth brig. If true, then when clearing a building from which you have taken fire, the tactic should be to first roll a grenade into each and every room before entering it. We are witnessing the essence of war. The fight to the death part. With no indication of proper surrender, that Marine was duty bound to shoot to kill. These situations require instantaneous decisions. There is no time to think. Those who survive battlefield confrontations learn to pull the trigger early and often.
