In the future, assuming Bush doesn't bring back the dark ages entirely, the world will approach some sort of unified government. How that should work out is one of the great debates of our time. Its sort of like pre civil war states rights all over again. The US doesn't want to be ruled and we certainly shouldn't rule the world. Bush does not have the leadership or the vision in his administration to come to grips with this dilema. Not saying I have heard or read much from anyone else on this either. What I do know is that our economic power and influence is critical and it is waning. The trade weighted value of the greenback is testament to this.
