He was briefing GWB daily, and he liked him. Loyalty. The guy that should have been shown the door on 9/12/01 was the DOT Secretary, Norman Mineta, who kept the airlines from profiling, and still won't let them do it

I agree that Mineta should not have been "appointed" by GWB. There were plenty of capable candidates for that position.

Tenet was briefing Bush daily after 9/11. Was he before 9/11? I don't know. I do know that he was a Clinton appointee and he brought some people in with him. We also now know that, unfortunately CIA field intelligence was clearly lacking regarding 9/11 and Iraq.

Concerning Tenet's loyalty to Bush. Not the end all and do all for me. He is the guy who persuaded Bush that the WMDs "were a slam dunk". My personal experience has been that people "loyal" to me haven't always been competent.
