Alvarion continues to show strong performance and consolidation of smaller companies. The move up coincided with release of interWAVE's earnings report but that may have been more a coincidence than a cause for the move. IWAV came in with disappointing results. I had a consultation with the analyst for a large telecommunications industry hedge fund (over $500 million in the emerging telecomm specific fund) during which I was queried about Alvarion and other companies in the field. That may have been a coincidence as well, but the next morning we say the spike in volume and price rise.
