"Holding real estate is more of a demoralizing factor on the opposition, but not essential for terrorists."

Not having a base leaves them more vulnerable to an aggressive posture taken by the US and Iraq. After the election the gloves seem to have come up and will stay off until after the election. These terrorists/insurgents are going to get awfully tired of ducking in the next few months. I saw a sniper in a mosque get blasted with heavy artillery in falujah yesterday and i wasnt expecting to see that. Lessons of vietnam are dont fight with one hand tied behind your back and dont enter into a long drawn out war you cant win. I think these guys are trying to do the former with the latter in mind if the former doesnt work. Mike
