I noticed the yield curve from the 5 yr out pretty much flat from 1997 forward into 2000 except for a slight inversion at the end of 1999 and first half of 2000 with the 5 year somewhat higher than longer term bonds and the short term maturities. Is it a coincidence that is around the time the market crashed?
