Larry,

To tell you the truth, it defies description. There was a bunch of screaming mixed with a visual montage that moved so quickly it was indiscernible. At the end, there was a distorted, wide angle shot of a butch head shoving a can of Dew into my face. That's about all I remember of it. I guess the add worked in retrospect - I remember it. But it didn't cause me to drink any more Dew. I began drinking Dew when it first came out. I loved it - the taste and the bottling. Granted things must change - but I loved the old bottles showing the hillbillies - and "bottled by ..." insignia. What's wrong with it?

I agree that the ad was obviously targeted at the young people in our culture - that much is painfully obvious. But I would maintain that the ad was probably most successful with the skin-head - counter-culture drug user rather than the majority of today's youth.

No offense Larry - it stinks. As for it not being the same ad that ran in the UK - Dougs description of it sounded close to me.

Regards,

Gary
