Probably I misunderstand the purpose of the thread. Discussion on specific pick! My methodology for picking up stocks are long procedure and is based on 2-3 years projection, some time even longer.
As thread which intend to discus science/bt technology related to one company without analyzing competitive bt and big pharma, approach to target diseases and positions of this approach related to others, perspective and hardness of the science which they are applying compared to today established biomedical/biochemical science,...will at the end discus few companies on the some way we have today on majority SI thread. In company which I follow and thread where I post I tried to evolve to this complicate and work intense approach.
I am not professional bt analyst, more like hobby, and I am trying to combine my training (chemistry) with bt. My approach example: chose disease (cancer), define approaches for treatment (cytotoxic agents, gene therapy, mAb, vaccine, signal transduction, angiogenesis, apoptosis, drug modulators, drug delivery enhancement, ....), value each approach with projection that combination of two, three, or more will be most appropriate, identified companies for selected approaches, value each company based on single and multiple approach, value their: science, finance, management.., select companies and invest.
Regards the MDR-1, MRP and probably some other proteins as drug modulators, at SI bt threads there are no, at least I didn't found, serious discussion on this theme. Because, IMO, antineoplastic cytotoxic agents will continue to hold (in combination with other cancer agents) large portion of the cancer therapy (recent trials indicate that equal therapeutic index can be achieved with reduced dose-lower toxicity and new therapy approach will probably have limitation). Drugs which can further decrease dose with increase terap. index will equally share market. Specially, if this drugs can be additive/synergy to majority or current/and future most potent agents.
Recently I started to investigate this field and I am at early beginning. This was the reasons that I want to initiate discussion. It is not to discus specific company, unless someone already discovered one. I will move discussion, if there will be individuals interested for combo-work, at separated thread.
