We apparently will have to agree to disagree but our disagreement is not that of people on opposite poles. I don't automatically assume that the marine is guilty of murder, and also I think something should have been done about Fallujah awhile back. Furthermore I don't think we should "make nice" with the insurgents. But I don't think shooting prisoners helps us beat down the insurgency. Even if it was a moral thing to do, it wouldn't be something of any significant practical benefit, in fact it might possibly make things slightly harder. Tim
