The lake at my property is about 25 years old. There's still people there that are ticked about farms that had been in families for generations being flooded. Lake or highway projects are a somewhat reasonable application of the law, but I have heard of communities re-zoning property as a greenbelt and telling the owners they can't build anything on it. * * *
