I know we can and should innovate our way out of the oil dependency we find ourselves in. The Model T got around 16-18 MPG.....that is not much less than the average car today.

What other area has advanced so little in almost 100 years? I cannot think of any. Can you imagine working on a computer with a 20% increase in power over the 1960 model? It is laughable and yet you are defending this position!
