Arlen Spector is a fiscal conservative but a social libertarian, of the Barry Goldwater model. I suppose that IS disturbing to the evangelicals in power now.

That Kennedy commission was in 1980. Let's see, in 1980 I think President Bush was still hooked on alcohol and cocaine. It seems fair to me to evaluate people more by what they've done lately.
