CHERYL, Just found this site again afte several weeks. In reading through recent Y2K news items I was struck by extraordinary actions taken recently by Governors of N.Y. and Maryland to focus attention on Y2K PROBLEM. Patacki issued an Executive Order mandateing all Departments take certain actions, Glendenning has taken Y2K funding out of the normal bidding process and established a tentative plan to spend 100 million $ (RANGE 55-120).This level of attention compared to the Federal Government where Clinton recently reitterated their cost at 3 Billion $ makes me really despair that we are headed for a collapse of Federal Government operations of enormous consequences.
