Dog,

With regards to Genzyme (GENZL) , it is very difficult ot predict. There is a TON of skepticism amongst us orthopaedists. Aside from that, with the technological advances that are taking place a new method and a new technology that is easier and CHEAPER will be here soon enough. Genzyme alienated the orthopaedic community when they first announced their results and have not fully recovered from that. In addition, and even more importantly the incurance companies are very, very reluctant to pay for this procedure.

For most patients THREE procedures are necessary. One ... for diagnosis ( hard to make by MRI or before surgery. Two ... for biopsy and three for implantation. Many patients are nor willing to undergo that many procedures.

I, personally believe that the technology works. But with all of these potential drawbacks and problems I will not invest in Genzyme. I am, however, in big in BINX and BIOX. But you never know how the market will react to Genzyme.... reactions to some biotechs, as you know, is usually on specualtion and then when the true facts and future is known... WHAM .

Hope this helps.
