In order:

- less those murdered or starved by Saddam over his and his sons' remaining lives and the lives of whoever took over for them. and don't forget those non-Iraqis murdered by terrorists paid by Saddam from what he skimmed from the UN oil-for-food scam.
- infrastructure? you mean the modern transportation systems, public utilities, schools, hospitals, irrigation systems, etc. that Saddam built for his people? Oh, wait - he only built prisons, military bases, weapons and palaces. yeah, we really should've preserved those valuable infrastructure assets.
- yeah, we have soldiers and marines just to create jobs, not to fight wars. we should wait to be attacked -again- and then lob a couple cruise missiles at tents and aspirin factories -again. no threat or actual attack is worth going to REAL war over.
- see above.
- begging the question.
- UN control? that's a hoot.
- yeah, there were never terrorists there before. LOL.
- "Americans" are not a "nation", we are a people. America, OTOH, IS a nation. it is also an ideal - one many in the world hate because that ideal - individual political and economic liberty - threatens their power.
- by "European allies", are you referring to Britain, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Albania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Ukraine? Or were you referring to those countries where all the oil-for-food bribe money ended up?
- you're going to have to back that next one up with a credible source. sounds an awful lot like the hyperbolic rants from the left over the old sanctions (that supposedly weren't working because millions of Iraqis were dying while Saddam did whatever he wanted, but now supposedly WERE working because Saddam supposedly was rendered harmless). besides, where are your tears for the Iraqi children starved and murdered (or raped before they were starved and murdered) by Saddam?
- but then you wouldn't have anything with which to condemn the entire US military . . . except you still would. U.S. soldiers who commit crimes are held responsible. No other superpower in history has held its military such high standards of conduct.
- sure they would, they just would have happened elsewhere, but with bigger effects.
- LOL. you still believe that hyped up story from the first days after Bagdhad fell? idiot.
- oh? you know where to find him?
- perhaps, but only because of Saddam's bribery program inside the UN. of course, with sanctions lifted, oil's not the only thing that would be flowing. Shi'a and Kurdish blood, cash to arms merchants, cash to terrorists, chemical and biological agents into weapons - these are some other "flows" we'd be seeing.
