HI cHRISTINE! oops-runaway caps-- I've been reading a few threads and am fleeing here because I don't feel clever or intellectual but a little tired and lonely tonight. The appeal of the internet is that I can get out a relatively coherent paragraph without being interrupted. In real life, people are so eager to express their own thoughts and opinions-usually without listening to yours-that unless one is a commanding, charismatic personality, one is relegated to the corner listening. Who knows who's listening here-but I have the opportunity to listen to myself and read the response without the accompanying judgements on looks, age, sex, or class accoutrements. Ahh yes-that glass of wine at dinner is taking its toll.. I don't think that Shalom would approve of creating one's own reality-his is based so firmly on the New Testament-but that statement struck home for me because it is at the heart of all I do. It is my defense against the ugliness of this world and it is my gift to my children- who are asking me to come make music with them... I'll return in a more jovial frame of mind! penni
