Thanks for the Van Gogh article, but if you can believe it, it certainly seems an open and shut case. That article leaves no room for a conspiracy theory. There were witnesses and the murderer has confessed.

It also seems to me that inorder to draw all of Europe into a frenzied anti Muslim war, France and Germany must be drawn in, and I can't really see any evidence of that. France especially has a very large N.African population, and Tunis is almost like a province. Over 10% of France's population is N.African and growing. This, to a lesser extent is the case in most European countries with the exception of the eastern, less prosperous parts. A final Armagaddon against Islam, in Europe would indeed be unthinkable.

However I have read articles lamenting the creeping Islamization of all of Europe, so I will be watching with great interest as these events develop.
