Quite honestly, I am getting tired of my shares being diluted to pay for options.

Then stay away from investments in the American technology industry/sector.

If you change employee compensation from options to stock or a cash dividend, you increase the employee's immediate tax liability. No company wants that and no employee wants to see their taxes forced upward.

I don't believe that options themselves are a problem. I believe it's the size of the giveaway that is at issue.
