What reason would we have to believe that we have odds as good as 50/50? I would put the odds at 99/1. Meanwhile, Iran is going nuclear and North Korea is refining its delivery systems and nuclear weapons -- and Russia is remilitarizing. Our foreign policy did exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time. We have taken a strident militaristic-isolationist stance in world affairs -- the damage being done by current policy will last a lifetime and set the stage for a century in which wars and terror become common hallmarks around the world.
