There must be something disadvantageous about point source. How come there is never any mention of it when there are articles about the Japanese consortium, or even when they discuss how DARPA is going to make a big decision in November regarding X-RAY/E-BEAM/DEEP UV? The X-RAY in the DARPA articles is the IBM Synchotron. Is it possible that the supposed big DARPA decision is completely irrelevant to JMAR?

Is it because portable point source is for small manufacturing runs and is not expected to mass-produce chips? Is this why Cymer has such a high valuation and JMAR doesn't (because Cymer's equipment is for mass-producing chips)?

I guess what I'm asking is: Is JMAR just a small-time player in the field and that the market knows that it is never intended to become anything other than a niche company? Come to think of it, Martinez has never asserted that JMAR is one of the "main players" in the evolution of semi-conductor manufacturing. Maybe we all have been reading too much into JMAR's future prospects.

(Somebody please tell me I'm wrong, with hard facts to prove I'm full of hot air..i.e. "you are a sinner and repent" is not sufficient proof <laff>).
