LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 1996--Global One Media Inc., a majority-owned subsidiary of Nemdaco Inc. (NASDAQ OTC: NMDO), Monday announced that it has signed a contract with the The Outlet Mall Network to become its exclusive televised vendor for sports collectible products. The contract is for one year, renewable annually by mutual agreement of both parties. The Outlet Mall Network, based in Sarasota, Fla., will begin broadcasting in more than 50 major national markets in September 1996, joining HSN, QVC and the Shop At Home networks in catering to the enormous demand for convenient, television-direct, home shopping. The Outlet Mall's products will also be available to the rapidly growing worldwide Internet home shopping community. It is estimated that between these two markets, more than $7 million annually will be spent making purchases from home. The appointment of Global One Media as the exclusive vendor of sports collectible products to the Outlet Mall initially provides the company with a one-hour, weekly, prime-time broadcast show for packaging and marketing its wide range of highly sought after sport collectible, memorabilia and premium licensed products. "This exclusive agreement with The Outlet Mall Network progresses our goal to establish Global One Media as a leading vendor of premium sport collectible merchandise to the television and home shopping industry. We believe The Outlet Mall's unique program format will capture a solid share of the home shopping network, and we anticipate that this initial association will deliver significant first year sales, which could exceed $2.5 million," said Gary Larkin, CEO of Global One and president of Nemdaco. The Outlet Mall is targeting an upscale consumer utilizing their quarter million sq. ft. shopping mall as the broadcast set. The show format will take the home audience on a continuous and exciting shopping tour through a variety of specialty stores. These stores will offer viewers high demand merchandise at prices below normal retail. Walt Borchers, president of Global One Media, said this agreement provides Global One with an exciting new distribution avenue for sports collectibles, and expects that future lifestyle and entertainment products will also be channeled through The Outlet Mall Network.
