LB, There was never a mention of politics in any of the classes I took in high school, or college. We studied the structure of the government, and the duties of each of the 3 parts of the government, but it was all about the history, and not the histrionics of today. It is sad that university students need an academic bill of rights to protect them from very biased professors.
I went to Texas A&M, so there was only conservatives, and hawks, on that campus. A military school tends to keep the bleeding hearts away. Unfortunately, that has all changed over the years, and with no disrespect for women, it started when girls were allowed to attend the university. The student body ballooned from about 8,000 to over 40,000, between 1957, and 1987. The university lost a lot of tradition when all that happened. |
