Sorry for veering off into socio-political areas but they are relevant to this thread and future PEs people will pay.

Raymond - No, I am not for bankrupting the public at drug companies defense. What I am for is letting them run their business with as little interference as possible so they will come up with help for me as I age (I am a very likely future cardiac and Alzheimers patient). I do not believe government meddling ever helps. I do not understand how the US thinks it can tell the companies how to run their foreign operations (except for logical things like banning bribes).

TO BE CLEAR, The problem in the USA is not drugs and their costs. These make up only a small portion of overall costs in the system. Why not attack the HMOs for their annual 10+% increases or companies for putting more burden on workers or insurance companies for denying claims. How is it that drug companies (who extend life at relatively low cost) get all the attacks? It seems to me that some corrupt doctors (think Medicare/Medicaid scandals), HMOs and insurance companies are far more despicable as well as some portion of the legal profession. Get a clue and grow up. Thank goodness your man lost the election.
