I'm not in this or any other discussion to win. Couldn't care less.

That is difficult to see. You have disputed every other pov posted on this subject.

I gave you a tip on where to find the answer as to the racist quality of that caricature.
Lily white girls and lily white boys no longer get to determine that, because in America they cannot be trusted to.

The fact that you or any other whitey is not offended by the cartoon does not preclude it being racist. Four whitey's did not sit at a Woolworth's lunch counter in Greensboro, NC, and no little old white lady ever refused to give up a bus seat in Montgomery, AL to protest racial inequities. With very very few exceptions, Whitey's never saw and if they did they accepted the inequities of racism prior to blacks pointing them out.

America has proven that Whities discussing the potential or non-existence of racial overtones in anything leads no where, because there is no perspective in that group. You think you are enlightened. Ted Kennedy thinks the same thing, yet he lives in two of the most racist neighborhoods in America and he works to keep them that way.

You are making yourself appear to be one of a group of Americans, who because they are blind to a prejudice, think it does not exist. You oppose any other viewpoint and fail to see the prejudice in that. You are sustaining racism by refusing to accept the notion that someone else might dare to see a racist quality in something you don't.

If you want to test the racist tones of that piece don't take it to Starbucks on Beacon Hill or Dupont Circle instead take it to the streets of Roxbury or NW Washington DC.

Many American whites will not see the racist tones. That is certainly no surprise. They never have.
Most blacks will recognize the racist qualities of the piece immediately. Therein lies the enlightenment.
