No, I don't think Osama has any understanding of how democracy works, and doesn't know Kerry from a hole in the wall. Listen to the last tape, where he talks about Bush (sr, I presume) appointing his sons governors and presidents. Osama clearly thinks the US is like the Mideast, that may have sham elections while one family holds the power. I don't think it occurs to him that the outcome of the election could actually have gone the other way.
