i work to prevent end times, it is you who lead us there with this failure to understand what deterrence is. Again i ask the $64 question and admit to not being sure of its answer. Will bin laden trade the holy sites and any chance to re-inhabit them for hundreds of years, for a nuke attack on NYC? If the answer is no, then deterrence of this type will work. 2nd question: will saudis, iranians, syrians be a hell of lot more careful if we make them targetable, if they are complicit, aid and abett or finance in some way a wmd attack against us? I think that there is a clear answer there and for the first question my gut tells me bin laden is not mad and that he does value islamic holy sites and would moderate his methods to the non-wmd if the mecca threat is made clear to him. Would you support it them, michael? Mike
