The prospect of a bastion of freedom in the Middle East is a very compelling justification. Why do people stream into the US? We have freedom and opportunity! If the same were true of a free Iraq, can you imagine the vibrancy of their economy? Can you imagine how much they could drain the best and brightest from surrounding less free countries? Step one is to get the Iraqis freedom. Then they will do like Mexicans and hire out as expatriates, while sending their money home. The next step would be for the formation of businesses and service industries in Iraq with the newly learned skills and risk taking innate in the human race. Next comes vibrancy and immigration. Transformation complete.
