Having taken you off ignore for a minute to see exactly what kind of crap you're spewing, I see I haven't missed anything.
But the following statement is so ignorant I had to laugh:
"However, I see no reason to own XMSR. It had the lead and is now dead in the water"
XM has 80% of the cumulative market share and CONTINUES, to this day, to have at least 65% of the RETAIL market share. For now, XM continues to be the leader in ALL MATERIAL ASPECTS in SDARS -- financially, content, subscribers, hardware, whatever. That certainly isn't "dead in the water".
I realize you're excited about this little pop, but I've been around here a while and I've seen them before. If, *IF* the sub #s don't materialize for Sirius, and *IF* they can't get costs under control, this turkey will be back to 3 or below just as quickly as it got to 5. It continues to be severely overpriced in the absence of any true evidence that Stern will bring in a couple million subscribers. If he does, it was a great gamble. If he doesn't, Sirius has a long, hard, 5-10 year climb to breakeven on its hands. As a smart person pointed out on a another board today, should Stern develop a laryngeal polyp, Sirius has a big damned problem on its hands that it will be difficult to overcome. All the eggs are in that basket.
In two years' time, XM will be well beyond CFBE and it will not have mattered what happened with Stern or any other one person.
Back to iggy for you, genius. |
