Thickness of a 1000 dollar bill = 0.0050 Inch Number of stacked 1000 dollar bills in an inch = 200.00 Number of inches in a mile = 63,360.00 Number of stacked 1000 dollar bills in a mile = 12,672,000.00 Value of a mile-high stack of 1000 bills = 12,672,000,000.00 National debt= 8.18 trillion dollars Height of National Debt in stacked 1000 dollar bills = 645.52 miles PS, I estimated the thickness of a 100 dollar bill at 5 mils. If it's only one mil, the stack is only 129 miles high. Does anybody know?
