You are preoccupied with your own needs. Some people need anti-inflam drugs more often than once every 6 months. And guess what... some people have side effects from Voltaren. And, some people don't experience good efficacy from arthrotec and voltaren. And, furthermore, some people don't like getting ulcers from aspirin. So, get a clue. It ain't about you. It's a big wide complex world with a diverse set of biological experiences to pharmaceutical products. It doesn't make sense for pharmaceutical companies to sell harmful products, because it will bite them in the ass. They develop useful compounds and measure the risk reward ratio. The media attack campaign will be overdone on this issue, as it is on all others. The world will go on, perhaps more cautious about drug approval, but forward we will go. The extra cost of litigation and drug development will be factored into the cost structure for saving lives and reducing suffering, while maintaining a profitable business formula. Yeah, I know what you want...free meds and eternal life.

PS Look on the bright side. You'll be able to afford more expensive drugs with all your short profits ;-)
