Are plans in place if schools attacked?

I recognize that writer's name. We may have attended a seminar together.

He makes an excellent point re public safety org readiness.

I always emphasize the need for parents to learn their childrens' school's emergency plans. And to develop a compatible rendezvous plan for their kids.

A child will have the courage to run if they are well briefed and expect a parent to meet them. A walk thru rehearsal at the school will cement the plan in their mind and give them confidence to execute it.

The very best opportunity to escape will be in the first moments of such an attack. We all need to teach kids that.
