LRAD Directionality and Effective Distance improvements: Thursday August 26, 9:00 am ET approximately a 30-45-degree beam directed communication and warning at ranges in excess of 500 yards -------- Note that this directionality has been improved to: -------- Thursday September 30, 8:45 am ET 15-30-degree beam LRAD can issue a verbal challenge with instructions in excess of 500 hundred meters in a focused beam, and follow up with a warning tone to influence behavior or determine intent. Effective ranges of over 1,000 meters are possible in ship-to-ship applications.
