RE: "Most people in the USA do not know that Bush was reading a story about a pet goat to the children in the Florida school."
It was included in Moore's pseudo documentary on 9/11 according to a number of reviews I've seen, so it probably isn't that big a secret. Also, from what I understand, his planned visit to the school was public knowledge prior to the attacks.
It's not that Osama couldn't have known about the visit at this late date, or even before the attacks. It's that he couldn't possibly have known that Bush would not respond to the attacks in any way, shape or form.
I think it's safe to assume a President is going to be busy doing something at any given date and time, or at least one would hope so. The real absurdity is that anyone, especially foreign terrorists, would consider a low priority photo op as prime time to launch an attack. There is no reasonable premise on which to base an assumption a photo op (or anything for that matter) would in any way delay an aggressive response to a major attack on this country.
On the other hand, grade school children are less likely to dash off to the Washington Post to criticize a lack of response by the President than a room full of Senators or foreign dignitaries.
It's not that Osama couldn't have known about the pet goat, which exposes "Terrorist Confessions II" as an obvious fraud. It's that Osama could have known the US President's exact location in advance, considered delaying George's response a primary objective of the mission, and that it never crossed his mind to drop a plane right smack in the middle of George's lap.
From the standpoint of tactics, it's hard to imagine a more devastating first strike than taking out the US President, a sworn enemy of Islam, and the unholy amount of confusion it would have caused while the rest of the planes pursued their targets.
Whether or not Osama is alive or dead is a side issue. The fact Bush is still alive proves Osama didn't do it and the tape is phony. |
