I didn't goof off at all til College either,
and that is about all a parent can hope for
from his kids. Happily, you don't do a lot
of driving in school, and you only need a
couple designated drivers for the weekend
outings.

I will keep you posted over the next decade
--discipline for the four year old is a little
trickier than I first hoped. They are
surprisingly clever. Rewards seem not to
work. Time outs, not as much as they should.
Logical consequences is the only fall back,
and I am starting to dig in for the battle
of Stalingrad.

I suppose I can focus on getting her into
Kindergarten, and think about Stanford a
little later...

Glad you have great kids Rick, of course
it helps a little to have a smart and
attentive Dad. Still driving the old volvo
to soccer? You really gotta get a big SUV
for the bay area to sit in traffic <g>
