Then you don't go into places with red buckets by the door.

I have never been anyplace with 15 or 16 groups soliciting contributions at the door.

Once upon a time in airports there would be Hari Krishnas and some ladies that looked like Philipino nuns or nurses.

Once upon a time I used to see vets with little flags and little red poppies, but only around Veterans Day and Flag Day.

I still see Girl Scouts selling cookies, and kids selling Famous Chocolate bars, but those are seasonal as well.

From time to time I see blood banks set up in RVs outside various places of business.

In big cities I will see various groups selling newspapers.

And that's about it.

I really think it takes an extremely large, well organized, well liked charity to front enough volunteers to annoy people.
