I don't think anybody deliberately underpayed. I don't know if Nevada has a sales tax, but it's common practice for restaurants to add a gratuity to the bill when the party is 8 or more people. If we realized it then, we could have scooped up all the tip money left on the table and put it towards the bill. Heck, we might have had enough left over to go play a few slots!
