Nadine, re: "You think that's what was just demonstrated in Fallujah? Who was the weak horse there? The weak horse is the one that's running a sprint in a marathon race. We can win every "battle" while losing more ground with every "win." Does that make sense at all to you? What exactly did we accomplish in Fallujah that can't be largely undone by insurgents as soon as the 13,000 troops are needed elsewhere to address the "new fronts" the insurgents open up at will? What will happen in Fallujah when it is once again repopulated by 100,000 plus Iraqis who hate our soldiers, want to kill them and will now have them within their sights? Fighting smart is more important than fighting hard, even for a "strong horse." And sometimes there are times and places where a smart, strong, horse knows he cannot fight and win. With regard to Osama Bin Ladin and why Al Queda hasn't struck inside the U.S. since 9/11; remember the old adage, "never interfere and risk altering the course of an enemy who is making mistakes." What could he gain by striking again that Bush/Cheney haven't given him, or are currently giving him? Ed
