Yes, the US is once again shouldering the responsibility of policing the world while many countries lies back and bellyache and want peace delivered on a platter. One look at the state of canada's military tells me they're in no shape to wage war, let alone peacekeeping operations. Maybe someone should shovel a few more million over to Bombardier so they can produce more unarmored personnel carriers?
That's what the Liberals are best at: porkbarreling. Martin raised taxes and cut and cut and cut programs. now there is a huge surplus and he and his cronies are going to waste it. Martin talks about cutting 50,000 civil servants. He'll never do it, Malcolm. Harper would have. If he did, you'd never notice. Liberals=bloated gov't, scandals, higher taxes, less services, poorer economic conditions for business.
I wouldn't have voted for Bush if I could have voted, but as far as I'm concerned most of these other countries don't have a leg to stand on. As for the UN, what about that 2.2% kickback the secretariat got on oil for food. As if they're objective.
