Alright, now that we've established that your opinion of Rice is based on a bit more than what the average layperson knows about her, a group which includes me, and that your thoughts are simply opinions reflective of your liberal bias, why do you assign fault to her for 9/11?

After all, the planning for it did not take place during her watch, and the mode of attack was not one to which serious consideration was given. There were literally dozens of other ways in which the attack could have been carried out, none of which would have been detected. We were simply a bit innocent and unprepared back then, just as we were on 12/7/41.

If you are to blame her exclusively for 9/11 simply because it occurred on her watch, then to be fair the chain of causation has to be extended to include many, many others, including prominent members of the Clinton Administration.

Because of the nature of the attack and our relative ignorance at the time, I personally think it is unfair, unproductive and divisive to blame anyone, including Clinton's foreign policy and security folks, for 9/11, though obviously it is a neat and handy partisan political weapon for those whose group is not presently in power.
