We can only hope the pals are exhausted now as well. Seems similar now although sadat felt he had to prove himself when he replaced nasser. Perhaps this next group of pal leaders will feel it necessary to be defiant. Enter Barghouti perhaps who may closely resemble sadat in how he might approach things while at the same time giving the pals a feeling that they have a leader who gained some credibility in fighting the israels. Of course their is the terror angle here to overcome but from the day he was arrested tried and convicted, i have viewed this guy as the possible pal mandela in the very narrow sense of the phrase. I think the israelis know this too and may have this in mind as a planB. Mike
