We went to the closest WalMart Supercenter last weekend. Regular gas was $1.77 a gallon. The cheapest anybody else had it was $1.95.

But regular grocery prices were not as cheap as in that LA Times article. Milk, for example, was about the same as at Costco.

Do they deliberately charge lower prices than they mean to stick with when they come into a market in order to get business?
