and was left for dead in combat. Was he? This story is getting complicated. I've read now that he and the others were left "for wounded" by previous troops and were supposed to be picked up for confinement and treatment. Not that that changes anything for the soldier in question who probably didn't know anything about that scenario. Been reading about the flap over taking the man who was shot and his four companions to Dover for autopsy. So it seems the story may not be so simple and the focus may end up somewhere other than that Marine.
