Sure, I remember Chris Hedges. He was the one who wrote "Gaza Diary" where he reported that the Israelis were shooting Palestinian kids for sport with silencers on their rifles, since he hadn't heard or seen any shots. But the Pals showed him some dead kids, so ergo. Silencers are not part of army issue.
