I have lived in too many countries with mutual rock-throwing contests - all it leads to is blood everywhere. Now that I live ten minutes from South Africa, a country that gave up its wingers and settled down to build a new nation, I am reminded even more how sterile and useless American politics have become. I agree that the leftwingers don't have nearly the same sway as the right. But if all they aspire to is finding the lefty Paul Wolfowitz to lead their crusade, I am not interested in the least. No one walks away from a pissing match smelling like anything except human waste.
