Not as well spent as helping the needy, and the homeless (imo) unless of course the hunters really need the meat, because they are poor, and cannot afford meat themselves.
As I see it, helping out in your community is about the best thing you can do (value judgment on my part, stemming from my morality), hunting is about on a par with cruising antique shops for bargains- I can see it might be fun for some, but socially redeeming? Well, no.
Do I spend my time campaigning against hunting? Again, no. I simply like the idea of deer birth control, because I know there are a lot of weekend warrior hunters out there, and they wound animals, and each other (my birth mother was actually wounded by a hunter in a hunting accident in Ky, just as a point of interest.)

They don't wound each other as often as I'd though though, so that's a nice surprise. However, as has been said here, any death is a terrible and tragic loss, and if deer birth control eliminates any unnecessary loss of life, I'm for it. |
